The film stars Kwak Do-Won as an editor for a children's book company who has been recently widowed and struggling with his five year old son's inability to talk after witnessing the death of his mother. Gwang-Mi played by Kim Seul-A as the love interest of Kwak Do-Won who he meets as she is babysitting his son Ji-Hwa one night while he goes out to take care of some overdue errands. The two end up having a brief encounter as she takes care of the child, but then Kwak Do-Won realizes that Ji-Hwa keeps asking to see his now deceased mother. In a short time, the two start to develop a friendship as they meet up on a regular basis, but they become more intimate as Gwang-Mi helps Ji-Hwa with his therapy and therapy sessions. Kwak Do-Won is still grieving over losing his wife and is unaware of the bond he shares with Gwang-Mi. When he starts to become suspicious about her intentions of just taking care of him and his son, he asks for help from an old friend who was also once widowed. They start to investigate the background of Gwang-Mi and Ji-Hwa's mother, but as soon as they find evidence that she could be a ghost, they become more and more wary. When they learn that the original case file has been missing and that the police and forensic team initially investigated it, Kwak Do-Won and his friend learn about a news report that someone who was murdered has been reported to have turned into a ghost shortly after dying.The film is inspired by an actual case in South Korea. The score for the film was composed by Ryu Wook. The film opened in South Korea and was received very well by the audiences and critics. The film had a head start with 2 million tickets pre-sold prior to its opening. The film was also screened at the 29th Tokyo International Film Festival. The film was released in Japan on February 3, 2017. The film was released in Hong Kong on January 30, 2017. The reviewers for the film praised the film for its story and pace.
